Playing as Galio

Tips to maximize your impact

  1. Land your tornado during the taunt

Engage with Justice Punch (E), release Shield of Durand (W), then place Winds of War (Q) during the taunt: the tornado deals damage based on max health.

  2. Recharge your shield before a trade

Against a magic-damage opponent, don't take free hits before a trade: after a few seconds without taking damage, Shield of Durand (W) gives you a magic shield.

  3. Charge your taunt

Charge Shield of Durand (W) before releasing it, after a Flash if needed: a longer charge means a longer taunt, more damage and a wider area.

  4. Fly into fights

Watch the map and join fights with Hero's Entrance (R): your allies in the area get a magic shield, and your landing knocks enemies into the air.

How to counter and exploit weaknesses

  1. Dodge his fireball

Dodge Ultra Mega Fire Kick (Q): it knocks you back, then explodes behind you and slows you.

  2. Back off when the campfire's up

Back off when Cozy Campfire (W) follows his carry: they gain attack range and restore health over time.

  3. Save a CC for after his R

If your team has several CC spells, save one for after Breath of Life (R): it cleanses disabling and immobilizing CC from his nearby allies.

  4. Go for Milio first

If you can reach him, go for Milio first, especially away from his allies: he has no dash or leap, and without him, his carry loses shields, heals and range.
