Skaarl, the Cowardly Lizard (P)

Kled rides his trusty steed, Skaarl, who takes damage for him. When Skaarl's health depletes, Kled dismounts.While dismounted, Kled's abilities change and he deals less damage to champions. Kled can restore Skaarl's courage by fighting enemies. At maximum courage, Kled remounts with a portion of Skaarl's health.

Tips to maximize your impact

  1. Chain your kegs

    Build a chain with Powder Keg (E): detonate the keg farthest from your opponent, and each keg whose area touches the previous one explodes too, all the way to them.

  2. Last-hit with Parrrley

    Last-hit minions and pop kegs with Parrrley (Q): a kill with the shot gives bonus gold, and so does a kill from a keg it sets off.

  3. Save your W for CC

    Save Remove Scurvy (W) for a key CC rather than for healing: it cleanses all CC on you, on a 22 to 14 second cooldown.

  4. Bombard other fights

    Cast Cannon Barrage (R) anywhere on the map to help a fight or cover an objective: each wave of cannonballs slows and damages in the area.

How to counter and exploit weaknesses

  1. Move away if he hooks you

    If Bear Trap on a Rope (Q) hooks you, move away from him right away: he only rips the trap out, with damage and a pull, if he stays near you for a short moment.

  2. Short trades

    Take a short trade, then back off: Violent Tendencies (W) gives him 4 fast autos, and the fourth deals damage based on your max health.

  3. Hit him while he's on foot

    When Skaarl goes down, hit Kled without letup: on foot, he deals less damage to champions, and Skaarl, the Cowardly Lizard (passive) remounts him once his courage is back.

  4. Get out of his charge's path

    When he casts Chaaaaaaaarge!!! (R), get out of his path: Skaarl rushes the first champion in the way, and hits harder after a long charge.
