Playing as Smolder
Tips to maximize your impact
- Last-hit minions with your fireball
Last-hit minions with Super Scorcher Breath (Q): each kill with the spell gives you a Dragon Practice (passive) stack, which empowers your basic spells.
- Poke with your sneeze
Poke with Achooo! (W): the sneeze slows, explodes on champions hit, and each champion hit gives you a Dragon Practice stack.
- Aim for the final tier
Build enough stacks for the final tier of Super Scorcher Breath (Q): it burns its target, and kills a champion who drops below a health threshold.
- Take flight to escape
Escape or reposition with Flap, Flap, Flap (E): you fly over obstacles, bombarding the enemy with the lowest health.
- Call your mom from far away
Cast MMOOOMMMM! (R) to finish or slow from far away: the center of the breath hits harder and slows, and if it hits you, your mom heals you.
Playing against Yone
How to counter and exploit weaknesses
- Back off after two Mortal Steels
Get out of his line after two Mortal Steel (Q) hits: the next one makes him dash forward and knocks the enemies hit into the air.
- Avoid his hits in spirit form
During Soul Unbound (E), avoid taking hits: when he snaps back, part of all the damage he dealt you is repeated.
- Trap his return
If you have ground-targeted CC, place it on the body he left behind: when Soul Unbound (E) ends, he has to return there.
- Judge him by his crit items
Judge his threat by his crit items more than his level: Way of the Hunter (passive) raises his critical strike chance, so each crit item does more for him.
- Don't line up with your allies
In teamfights, don't line up with your allies in front of him: Fate Sealed (R) hits every enemy in a line and knocks them into the air toward him.
