Lucian is short range (500) — longer-range ADCs outrange him (Caitlyn, Jinx, Ashe).

His E has a long cooldown early: punish him after he dashes offensively.

Lucian scales worse than most ADCs — if you survive his early game, you win in late game.

Avoid short trades: his passive double auto makes him very strong in short bursts. Trade long or not at all.
