Friend of the Forest (P)

Ivern cannot attack or be attacked by non-epic monsters. Ivern can create magical groves on jungle camps which grow over time. When the grove is fully grown, Ivern may free the monsters to receive gold and experience.

Playing as Cho'Gath

Tips to maximize your impact

  1. Aim Rupture where they're going

Aim Rupture (Q) where your opponent is going, not where they are: the area knocks them into the air and slows them.

  2. Silence after the knock-up

Follow a successful Rupture (Q) with Feral Scream (W): the silence stops them from casting spells, dashes included.

  3. Charge your spikes before a trade

Cast Vorpal Spikes (E) before a trade: your next 3 autos launch spikes that slow enemies in front of you and deal damage based on their max health.

  4. Eat as soon as Feast is up

Finish with Feast (R) as soon as it's up: each kill gives you permanent max health, but minions and non-epic monsters only give a limited amount.

Playing against Ivern

How to counter and exploit weaknesses

  1. Stay behind your minions

Keep your minions between you and Ivern: Rootcaller (Q) roots the first enemy hit, and his allies can then dash to you.

  2. Avoid his brush

Don't fight in or near the brush from Brushmaker (W): Ivern and his nearby allies gain bonus magic damage on their autos there.

  3. Don't take three hits from Daisy

Focus Daisy! (R) or leave her range before her 3rd consecutive auto on you: it triggers a shockwave that knocks everyone it hits into the air.

  4. Take his camps

Take his camps while his groves grow: Friend of the Forest (passive) stops him from attacking non-epic monsters, so he has to wait for a grove to grow before he can free them.
