Umbra Blades (P)

Every few seconds, Nocturne's next attack strikes surrounding enemies for bonus physical damage and heals himself. Nocturne's basic attacks reduce this cooldown.

Playing as Cho'Gath

Tips to maximize your impact

  1. Aim Rupture where they're going

Aim Rupture (Q) where your opponent is going, not where they are: the area knocks them into the air and slows them.

  2. Silence after the knock-up

Follow a successful Rupture (Q) with Feral Scream (W): the silence stops them from casting spells, dashes included.

  3. Charge your spikes before a trade

Cast Vorpal Spikes (E) before a trade: your next 3 autos launch spikes that slow enemies in front of you and deal damage based on their max health.

  4. Eat as soon as Feast is up

Finish with Feast (R) as soon as it's up: each kill gives you permanent max health, but minions and non-epic monsters only give a limited amount.

Playing against Nocturne

How to counter and exploit weaknesses

  1. Break his tether

Move away as soon as Unspeakable Horror (E) tethers you to him: if you get out of range before the tether ends, you aren't feared.

  2. Pop his barrier first

If you have CC, cast a cheap spell first: Shroud of Darkness (W) only blocks one ability, for 1.5 seconds.

  3. Move closer to your allies

When Paranoia (R) darkens your vision, move closer to your allies: you can't see them anymore, and he can launch himself at an isolated champion.

  4. Ward your flanks

Ward your jungle and your flanks: Paranoia (R) lets him launch himself at you from long range, and vision helps you see him coming.
