Playing as Ekko

Tips to maximize your impact

  1. Hit with your Q both ways

Throw Timewinder (Q) at a champion, then position so the device passes through them again on its way back: it expands into a slowing field, and the return hits again.

  2. Three hits for your Resonance

Hit with Timewinder (Q) out and back, and weave in the empowered auto from Phase Dive (E): the third hit triggers Z-Drive Resonance (passive), with bonus damage and speed.

  3. Step into your sphere

Cast Parallel Convergence (W) where the fight will happen, then step into the sphere when it appears: you stun the enemies inside and gain a shield.

  4. Engage, then rewind time

Engage, deal your damage, then cast Chronobreak (R): you return to where you were 4 seconds earlier, in stasis, and recover health based on what you lost.

Playing against Renekton

How to counter and exploit weaknesses

  1. Trade when he's under 50 Fury

Take a trade when his Fury is under 50: above that, Ruthless Predator (W) destroys your shields and stuns you twice as long.

  2. Trade after his dashes

Take a trade once he has used both Slice and Dice (E) dashes: it's his only way to reach you or get out, on a 16 to 10 second cooldown.

  3. Back off when he casts Dominus

Once he hits level 6, back off when he casts Dominus (R): he gains max health, builds Fury every second, and damages enemies around him.

  4. Drag the game out

If you survive his first minutes, play for time: Renekton looks to get ahead in lane, before everyone has their items.
