Playing as Jayce
Tips to maximize your impact
- Poke through your gate
In cannon form, fire Shock Blast (Q) through Acceleration Gate (E) from the start of lane: the orb gains speed, range and damage, and it's your best poke.
- All-in with the hammer
To all-in, switch to hammer: leap in with To the Skies! (Q), activate Lightning Field (W), then knock your target back with Thundering Blow (E).
- Auto after every swap
Land an auto after each weapon swap: switching to Mercury Cannon (R) reduces your target's armor and magic resist, and your first hammer hit deals bonus magic damage.
- Swap weapons to escape
To escape, swap weapons then walk through Acceleration Gate (E): Hextech Capacitor (passive) and the gate each give you move speed.
Playing against Tryndamere
How to counter and exploit weaknesses
- Don't trade when his Fury is high
Avoid taking a trade when his Fury is high: with Battle Fury (passive), it raises his critical strike chance, and Bloodlust (Q) turns it into healing.
- Harass him while he farms
Hit him when he walks up to minions to farm: each last hit gives him Fury, which Bloodlust (Q) then turns into healing.
- Don't turn your back on him
Against Mocking Shout (W), back off sideways rather than turning your back on him: the spell only slows enemies who are facing away from him.
- Respect his level 6
Once he hits level 6, plan for what comes after Undying Rage (R): he can't die during the effect, so back off or hold any CC you have, and finish him when it ends.
