Tips to maximize your impact

  1. Poison, then bite

    Land Noxious Blast (Q), then chain Twin Fang (E) while the poison lasts: the poisoned target takes extra damage, and you heal.

  2. Kite with your speed

    Hit a champion with Noxious Blast (Q) to kite: the spell gives you move speed, and Serpentine Grace (passive) makes every speed bonus more effective.

  3. Ground those who dive you

    Place Miasma (W) on those trying to jump on you: inside the clouds, enemies are slowed and can't use movement abilities.

  4. Turn to face your pursuers

    Cast Petrifying Gaze (R) toward those chasing you, after a Flash if needed: those facing you are stunned, the others only slowed.

How to counter and exploit weaknesses

  1. Back off when he marks you

    Back off when Spell Flux (E) marks you: marked, Rune Prison (W) roots you instead of slowing you, and Overload (Q) hits you harder.

  2. Target him when he comes close

    If you can engage, target him when he comes close for his combo: he has no dash to get away.

  3. Interrupt his portal

    If you have CC, use it on Ryze while Realm Warp (R) is charging: it cancels the portal.
