Playing as Lux

Tips to maximize your impact

  1. Start with Light Binding

    Start with Light Binding (Q), then Lucent Singularity (E) and Final Spark (R) before detonating the singularity: the root makes sure everything hits.

  2. Weave an auto between spells

    Slip in an auto after each spell that hits: it triggers Illumination (passive) for extra magic damage, and Final Spark (R) triggers it too.

  3. Light up brush with your E

    Cast Lucent Singularity (E) into a brush before walking in: the area is revealed, and a hidden enemy would be slowed.

  4. Shield your allies twice

    Cast Prismatic Barrier (W) through as many allies as you can: the wand shields them on the way out, then again on the way back.

  5. Use your R often

    Cast Final Spark (R) to clear a wave or secure an objective: it only has a 60 to 40 second cooldown, depending on rank.

Playing against Karma

How to counter and exploit weaknesses

  1. Respect her level 1

    Play carefully at the very start of lane: Mantra (R) is available from level 1, so Karma already has an empowered spell.

  2. Break her tether

    Move away as soon as Focused Resolve (W) tethers you: if the tether holds to the end, you take damage again and get rooted.

  3. Leave the ring of fire

    Quickly leave the ring of fire left by Inner Flame (Q) empowered by Mantra (R): it slows and deals extra damage.

  4. Focus her in teamfights

    If you can reach her, focus her in teamfights: Mantra (R) then Inspire (E) gives a shield and move speed to every ally grouped around her target.
