Playing as Vayne

Tips to maximize your impact

  1. Three hits on the same target

Hit the same target three times in a row, with autos or spells: on the third hit, Silver Bolts (W) adds true damage based on their max health.

  2. Tumble between autos

Slip a Tumble (Q) between two autos: you reposition, and your next attack deals bonus damage. Its cooldown drops from 6 to 2 seconds.

  3. Pin your target to a wall

Position yourself so that Condemn (E) pushes your target into a wall: if they hit terrain, they're stunned and take more damage.

  4. Be patient before your items

Play safe while you're missing your first items: Vayne mostly shines later, when Silver Bolts (W) cuts through big health pools.

  5. Tumble unseen during your ult

During Final Hour (R), each Tumble (Q) makes you invisible for a moment and comes back faster: tumble to reposition while the enemy can't target you.

Playing against Anivia

How to counter and exploit weaknesses

  1. Sidestep her ice

Dodge Flash Frost (Q) by stepping to the side: without the chill, Frostbite (E) doesn't double its damage.

  2. Play hard before she hits 6

Push your wave and take trades before she hits level 6: without Glacial Storm (R), she struggles to clear the wave and can't hold an area.

  3. Drain her mana

Force her to spend her mana: Flash Frost (Q) costs 80 to 100 mana, and Glacial Storm (R) drains some every second.

  4. Destroy the egg right away

Focus the Rebirth (passive) egg as soon as it appears: if it hatches, she comes back to life at full health.
